What Is IP Based KVM System?

In the past, Audio & Visual solutions usually applied a traditional system in centralized architecture, with different signal processing devices like matrix, KVM switches, extenders, videowall processors and etc. With the development of information technology and the ethernet revolution, it requires audio and video system to be more flexible and scalable, so IP-based AV system comes into the trend. Benefiting from the decentralized architecture, the IP-based AV system makes it more suitable for the continuous changes of this era. AVCiT develops its unique solution in the AV industry, which we name IP Based KVM System.

AVCiT IP Based KVM System, is built-in all features of video wall control, KVM, matrix switching, visualization, and central control, which is based on a 1 Gigabit Standard Network with distributed and decentralized architecture, mainly used for all-in-one Command Center and Meeting Room Solutions.

AVCiT IP Based KVM System consists of encoders, decoders, and a network switch, concluding in the following parts:

1. Access Layer: IP-based encoders can get access to different sources(video signals, audio signals, control signals, USB signals) and encode them into IP streams that can be transmitted on the ethernet.

2. Transport Layer: All the IP streams including encoding one from the encoder and third-party RTSP streaming like IP cameras or CCTV, can be transmitted to any one of the decoders by network switches.

3. Application Layer: The IP streams can be decoded and restored into the original sources by decoders, and transmitted on different display devices such as video walls, workspace monitors, projectors and etc. Operators can get access to these sources and control them, which achieves the convenience of getting what you see and controlling what you want.

AVCiT IP Based KVM System mainly applies in control room, command center, and meeting room solution, but are not limited to these applications. The system can be deployed with the requirements in the following points:

(1)Video wall control, Signals extend&switch, Signal visualization

(2)Muti-location collaboration, Long-distance display

(3)KVM operation, Remote control, Permission management

(4)Video&audio call, Smart conference

(5)Central control, Environmental feedback, Third-party system access

(6)Operation&maintenance, AI capture&control
