AVCiT Deploys IP-based KVM System for National Water Company of Saudi Arabia's Control Center

    Centered on building a nationwide safe water supply network and boosting water recycling efficiency, National Water Company of Saudi Arabia's vision lies in realizing unified national water monitoring, emergency response and refined management via digital dispatching platforms to underpin people's livelihood security and industrial growth.


    To build a 24/7 uninterrupted master water dispatching hub, NWC adopted the self-developed IP based KVM system from AVCiT to construct a brand-new control center. The whole solution is equipped with Samsung The Wall curved LED display, measuring 16.9m×2.7m with a 0.84 pixel pitch. The UHD curved screen fully visualizes massive water service data including national pipeline flow, water quality and pump station operation status.


    Leveraging the exclusive technical architecture of AVCiT's IP-based KVM system, the project delivers groundbreaking deployment within the industry:

    - encoders can be directly connected to Samsung LED sender cards, eliminating traditional external LED processors.

    - powered by self-developed ASE encoding technology, the system achieves pixel-level screen synchronization with no tearing,

    - offset or low latency across the entire wall, ensuring real-time, accurate display of dispatching data.

    The holistic IP based KVM system boasts multiple core advantages.

    1. Adopting a decentralized server-free architecture, all nodes operate independently without single-point failure risks.

    2. Equipped with backup mechanisms, the system meets the demand for round-the-clock stable operation of critical water services. Built on standard Gigabit Ethernet networking, modular nodes support flexible capacity expansion.

    3. No core system reconstruction is required when adding new monitoring points or operator workstations in later stages, bringing easier expansion and lower operation & maintenance costs.

    Embedded with visual drag-and-drop interactive scheduling capabilities, the system features floating OSD operation interfaces. Operators can retrieve signals, push sources across workstations and adjust screen layouts simply by mouse drag-and-drop. It supports one-person multi-machine collaborative management and multi-party video conferences, greatly cutting down response time for pipeline malfunctions. Meanwhile, the system supports multi-level access control and full traceability of all operations, securing confidential water service data transmission and complying with strict safety standards for national public utility control scenarios.

    NWC is the country's exclusive state-owned water service operator. It oversees the full industrial chain covering national drinking water supply, seawater desalination, sewage recycling and pipeline network operation & maintenance, undertaking the sustainable water resource development strategy outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
